Town of Littleton Board Meeting 9:14

The Littleton Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting Monday, September 14, at 6 p.m. at Littleton Town Hall, 112 East South Main Street. The meeting will also be held via Zoom.

Several items involving water and infrastructure are included on the agenda, along with two public hearings.

The board is scheduled to hold a public hearing concerning an amendment to the town’s 2024 CDBG-NR program and another regarding the proposed rezoning of Parcel #0700149, owned by Samuel Johnson. McDavid Associates, Inc. is also scheduled to provide an update on a water meter bid.

Commissioners will consider two contracts and accompanying resolutions involving lead service lines. One is listed for the replacement of lead service lines, while the second concerns finding and replacing lead service lines.

The board is also scheduled to consider approving Brian Pridgen as attorney for the Halifax/Littleton Water/Wastewater merger.

Other business includes the swearing-in of a new commissioner, opening bids for a 1999 Dodge truck, consideration of a TextMyGov proposal, discussion of markers for Sunset Hill Cemetery, sewer adjustments and an event permit for Valley Community Church with a request to waive fees.

The agenda includes opportunities for citizen comments, reports from commissioners and remarks from the mayor. The board is also scheduled to enter closed session to discuss personnel under N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6).
