
Two people sought by law enforcement following a series of search warrants executed last week in Halifax County have now turned themselves in.
Tyron Mills surrendered to authorities shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, September 24. Mills was given a $75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 22, 2026.
Mills was wanted following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Melody Lane in Roanoke Rapids on Friday, September 18.
He was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and felony maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for the sale of narcotics.
Jazmine Ransom surrendered shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, September 25, in Halifax.
Ransom was not given a bond due to pending charges in Wake County. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 6, 2026.
Her charges stem from search warrants executed September 18 at locations on Jim Martin Drive in Roanoke Rapids and Cedar Street in Weldon.
Ransom was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and felony maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for the sale of narcotics.
The arrests are connected to the multi-agency drug investigation that resulted in three search warrants being executed in Halifax County on September 18.
Authorities previously reported that the searches resulted in the seizure of more than a kilogram of powder cocaine, along with crack cocaine, marijuana, MDMA and four firearms.
