Roanoke Rapids Man Out on Bond for Kidnapping Arrested Again for Second Degree Forcible Rape and Second Degree Forcible Sex Offense
On Wednesday October 7, 2026, a juvenile victim reported to Investigators with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department that she had been sexually assaulted in Halifax County. Talking with the victim it was determined that the incident didn’t take place within the city limits but had taken place out in the county. Investigators with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office responded.
After further investigation, Torey Richardson, 34, of Roanoke Rapids was taken into custody. Richardson was charged with second degree forcible rape and second degree forcible sex offense.
Richardson was confined to the Detention Center under no bond and is awaiting an October 21, 2026 court date.
