Heather Haskins, 37, of Littleton, was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, by Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant I. Miller.

Haskins was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Haskins used a fraudulent coupon to conduct 587 transactions, resulting in a loss of $22,926 to the company.

The investigation began March 25 when deputies responded to a store on West Tenth Street in the Roanoke Rapids area after the company’s fraud department reported discovering two employees allegedly stealing money from the business.
